Live Bait Theatre has Two Internship Opportunities for Grads – Apply Now!

Live Bait is looking for young people (ages 30 and under) who have graduated from a post-secondary program (of any type) to work with us this year on some projects, and also to support our general operations and productions. If either of the positions below interest you, and you have some experience and interest in theatre, please contact us at info@livebaittheatre.com for more details. We anticipate being able to give our Interns hand-on experience in their area of theatre interest (design, stage management, acting, etc), as well as in the areas outlined in the internship descriptions below. 1.     The Digital Archivist and Data Manager will work on organizing and digitizing all of Live Bait’s archival materials. They will Increase our ability to use social media analytics, and design and implement processes for using our social media more effectively.
They will also work with our current intern on managing content for all of Live Bait Theatre’s online digital platforms, including website and social media, and will help increase the company’s capacity to do interactive live performances, including performances that will tour virtually to schools.

In addition, the Digital Manager and Administrator will perform some administrative
duties such as managing databases, assisting with writing and tracking grant
applications, assisting with office management, assisting with project management
(including using appropriate digital support tools), and other related duties as assigned.

This position runs from as soon as possible to March 2022 and is a full-time position paying $20/hr. It is funded by the Digital Strategies for Youth Program.

2.     The Project Developer/Opportunity Explorer will help us to expand our programming for children and seniors, and at built heritage sites in the region.  The intern will work on all aspects of the company’s administration and will research, and make connections, with other organizations doing innovative and/or best practices work in the field. The ideal candidate will be hard working, dependable, have some administrative and/or office experience and interest in performing arts.

This position runs from October 2021 to March 2022 and is a full-time position paying $15/hr. It is funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage Young Canada Works Program.
