A review of the play from Sackville; “Bravo, that was awesome. Great performances and story telling and very touching story and letters.”
About This Amazing Play Just in time for Valentine’s Day Live Bait Theatre will present A. R. Gurney’s award winning play, Love Letters. The play will be presented in Amherst, Springhill and Sackville in a variety of different formats.
Love Letters tells the story of two lifelong friends who also happen to be former love interests. Their story is told as two actors read aloud fifty years of correspondence between them. This simply staged play is heartwarming and heartbreaking in equal measure.
Charlie Rhindress, one of Live Bait’s co-founders, will direct Ron Kelly Spurles and Heather MacIntyre in the production. Kelly Spurles is the manager of Tourism and Business Development with the Town of Sackville while MacIntyre is a performer and educator who currently teaches music at Spring Street Academy in Amherst. Both were audience favourites in Live Bait’s last two dinner theatres, Anne of Springhill and A Rockin’ Little Christmas.
