Live Bait Theatre to Unveil Exciting New Season for 2014-15

Live Bait Theatre to Unveil Exciting New Season for 2014-15

October 17/14

Live Bait Theatre is back and ready to make a major announcement involving their 2014/2015 season. The season unveiling celebration will be held following a Spuds and Suds at the Sackville Legion on Wednesday, October 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. The official season announcement will begin at 7 p.m.

After a couple of challenging years which saw the company move out of their former space on Main Street, major advances have been made in finances and staffing, and the company once again finds itself ready to re-assume its role as one of New Brunswick’s most exciting professional arts organizations.

The new season will see two mainstage productions (including an original play on a local theme), a Christmas dinner theatre, programs for young people, and some other surprises. While supporters will have to wait until the unveiling evening for most of the details of the season, the company is announcing details of its Christmas Dinner Theatre now so that people anxious to book their Christmas parties or to book their tickets can do so right away. The play this year will be “Miracle on Bridge St.”, a lighthearted and good-natured spoof of the “Miracle on 34th St.” movies. It will be held at the Sackville Legion from December 3rd to 14 and tickets are on sale immediately.

“We’re very excited to be announcing our upcoming season, the largest and most ambitious one that Live Bait has produced in several years”, said President Catherine Gaw. “There will be some familiar and well loved faces working on some of our shows this year, and some very exciting new ones. And we have some great outreach and partnership programs happening too. I think our friends and supporters will be very excited when they see the great things the new Live Bait is up to.”
